My name is Chris and I’m 23 years old. Although I am originally from New York City, I am currently teaching English in the Kansai area of Japan. I have been practicing martial arts since I was four years old and hold a 1st dan black belt in Taekwondo and a 5th kyu yellow belt in Kyokushin Karate ( IKO-1 Matsui-ha). The Nishinomiya Dojo in Hyogo Prefecture is my home dojo in Japan.
I will share my experiences with martial arts in Japan and martial arts-related reflections in my posts. I am really looking forward to sharing these experiences and I hope you enjoy them too!
